It was my own experience of navigating grief that brought me to funeral ceremonies. I know how heavy those first days and weeks can feel, and how much it means when a farewell truly reflects the person you love.
When someone dies, there can be a lot to organise in a very short space of time. And while there are practical decisions to make, there’s also a person to remember and a family trying to find its feet through a difficult time. You don’t need to arrive with a clear idea of what the ceremony should look like. We can work that out together.
I’ll spend time getting to know the person you’re remembering, hearing the stories that matter to your family and understanding what you’d like people to take away from the service. From there, I’ll bring those pieces together into a ceremony that feels personal and true to the life being honoured.
What to expect when we work together
There’s a lot that goes into creating a meaningful farewell, and you don’t have to navigate it all on your own. I’ll work alongside your family to bring the ceremony together, taking the time to understand who your loved one was and helping you create a service that feels right for you.
That includes:
- Meeting with your family to hear about your loved one and how you would like to best honour their life
- Crafting a completely personalised service for your loved one
- I’ll help you work through the order of service, offer a hand with eulogies and tributes if needed, and coordinate with the people involved, including speakers and your funeral director (if applicable), so everything comes together on the day.
- Professional, warm and seamless delivery of the service
I work independently across Albury Wodonga and surrounding areas, and can also work with whichever funeral director your family chooses.
